Today the twins turned 3. We sent them a birthday package which arrived on July 23. It included photos of us, four disposable cameras, two panda dolls, two blankets, candy, a fruit basket, greeting cards (with translations) and some questions about their life. We understand that the package was delivered to their area orphanage and was immediately picked up by the foster family. I've been asked to mention the name of the package service, and it is Blessed Kids (http://www.blessedkids.com/); Adele is bilingual (Chinese/English) and has been satisfying her customers for many years.
Meanwhile, back in Florida, we were showered with so many generous gifts for the girls. We were truly overwhelmed by our friends at Jazzercise and at my husband's office. I've been babysitting for an hour or two a week for 4.5 years at Jazzercise which really confirmed my desire to become a parent. The children there are such a joy, and watching them grow up has been very rewarding. Peter has been at his company for 13 years. His co-workers are all very interesting and fun to interact with. Several of his co-workers have adopted from China, and they have been very helpful in providing answers to our questions as well as serving as a support network. And one of his co-workers is watching our adorable and affectionate kitten (which I found by the side of the road when she was only three weeks old), Lucky Elizabeth Balboa.
